Creating a perfect portrait takes a little planning; portraiture captures facial expressions, mood, attitude and emotions; while clothing, accessories and props are secondary and should not create a distraction.
Tips for your photo session:
• Solids photograph better than prints or plaids
• Simple garments photograph best
• Select colors and clothing styles that compliment your complexion and body type
• Couples or small groups should choose clothing with the same tonal ranges (coordinate colors)
• Choose clothing that you are comfortable in. If it does not fit your personality it will show in the final product
• Choose clothing and accessories to accentuate your personal style; if you feel good, you will look good
• Think about how you want your photos to look, practice your perfect smile in the mirror
• Remember nap and feeding times for children
• Get the appropriate amount of rest leading up to your photo session
• Relax, smile, and allow me to capture the real you
